Castle Rock Starlighting

The Chamber’s holiday opener, held since 1962: an afternoon downtown of carolers and dance groups, a kids’ zone with a petting zoo and face painting, food trucks and nonprofit booths, with Santa and Mrs. Claus in Festival Park from 2 to 4:15 and the firefighters’ 90th annual chili supper at Fire Station 151. Biff Gore plays the main stage at 4th and Wilcox, where the ceremony starts at 5; the star on the Rock is lit at about 5:30 and fireworks follow, weather permitting. The Chamber takes cards only; free shuttles run from 1:30 to 8 pm from AdventHealth Castle Rock, Douglas County High School and the fairgrounds, and downtown streets close from 6 am to 8 pm.
