The Barn is a group of independent shops under one roof on Third Street: antiques, women’s and children’s clothing, home decor and gifts, with tenants such as The Antique Buffalo, The Bee’s Knees Antiques & Interiors and The Book Nook. The building went up in 1905 as the Douglas County Lumber Company’s mercantile, keeps most of its original windows, doors and wood trim, and opened as The Barn Antiques & Specialty Shops in May 1998.
