Festival Park

The park in the middle of downtown, the Town’s venue for its community events: First Fridays, the farmers market and the Western Heritage Welcome by the Town’s own list, and on this guide’s calendar Santa at Starlighting and the start of the holiday carriage rides by the big tree. Two acres, ADA accessible, with a large pavilion for general use (no reservations), two gas fire pits, a splash pad open 10 am to 6 pm daily in season, weather permitting, an open lawn, a creekside picnic area, electricity, paved trails and Wi-Fi; the permanent restrooms are open in season and portable ones stand in for winter. It is where the East Plum Creek Trail and the Sellars Gulch Trail meet, with access to the creek. Gas grills are allowed and charcoal is not, and the Town’s fire restrictions can close even those. The Town’s 2026 dates here: the farmers market on Sundays from May 24 to October 11, First Fridays on June 5, July 3 and August 7, the Western Heritage Welcome on July 24, the Fall Festival on October 18, and the Season of the Star from November 21, Starlighting night, to January 23, the end of the National Western Stock Show.
