Philip S. Miller Park
The Town's 300-acre park: 8 miles of single-track in four loops, a paved mile around the park, the 200-step Challenge Hill, a 2.5-acre adventure playground with a 40-foot slide, a splash pad, the MAC and The Edge's ziplines.
The Town’s flagship park, 300 acres on West Plum Creek Parkway, holding the Millhouse events center, an outdoor amphitheater, the Miller Activity Complex, Challenge Hill, an adventure playground and a trail network, with The Edge’s ziplines and adventure courses run inside it under a public-private partnership. The Town says it has been voted Best Place for Outdoor Fun every year since 2018.
The trails are 8 miles of native-surface single-track in four loops that connect, plus a mile of paved, accessible path around the park. Challenge Hill is the draw: 200 steps rising 178 feet, harder than it looks, with the view from the top as the reward.
The 2.5-acre Adventure Playground has a 40-foot slide and play built into the Gambel oak and ponderosa, beside a full-size synthetic-turf field with parking and lights. Next to the field, the Plaza has picnic pavilions, restrooms, a splash pad, an outdoor fireplace and more play. Restrooms and the fireplaces are open 7 am to 10 pm daily; the splash pad runs 10 am to 6 pm in season. Parks maintenance is on 720-733-2260 (parks@crgov.com).
